Santa Cruz World Choir & Orchestra

GENERAL INFORMATION

Rehearsals:
Wednesdays, 7-9pm at Market Street Theatre, Santa Cruz, CA

Cost:
Single membership in the choir: a flat rate of $250 for the four-month season. No additional fees will be requested.
Family discount: $250 for the first membership and $100 for each additional family member. (Example: A family of 2 is $350, a family of 3 is $450, and so on)

NEW THIS SEASON!
• Returning Members qualify for Recruitment Discounts! Earn a $50 discount off your membership fee for each NEW singer you bring in. (New Singers must pass the audition.)
• You may earn an additional $10 off your membership fee (total of $60) for bringing in a lower voice referral (Tenor or Bass)!

Payment Guidelines:
• The membership fee is due 9/14/11. Membership fees are non-refundable.

• We will offer discounted concert tickets to all members in advance.

• Classes and private tutoring are available. Cost and scheduling information is available upon request. Subjects include but are not limited to:
-Music Theory

-Conducting and Leadership Internships

-Custom courses designed to maximize your musical and technical career!

The Santa Cruz World Choir
The Santa Cruz World Choir is comprised of young adults (high school and college age) and adult singers. Anyone with some singing experience is invited to audition. Members will be trained in proper voice technique, singing in a variety of languages, sight-reading, singing by ear, and other musical skills—this education is especially important during this time of school budget cutbacks. This training will help prepare members for professional careers in the entertainment industry.

If you are interested in participating in the choir:

2. Call 831-521-3470 to leave voicemail message of your audition song. To complete this step, please sing a few measures of any song you'd like, even "Twinkle twinkle little star". When done singing, be sure to leave your name, the part you sing, and your contact information on the voicemail message.
Returning members: do not have to audition, just fill out the form below.

Deadline for application and audition: September 1st, 2011 .
First Rehearsal is Wednesday, September 7 from 7-9pm at Market Street Theatre.
