The Santa Cruz World Choir Orchestra is a multi-generational, educational, and fun vocal group and ensemble that inspires and entertains audiences. Under the direction of composer and educator, Stephen L. Bigger, the choir performs a variety of traditional and modern music from around the world. The choir is comprised of high school age and older singers who will receive training to enhance their musical skills.

The Santa Cruz World Orchestra is a multi-generational ensemble featuring instruments from around the globe, will accompany the choir for performances and recordings, and perform special selections. Smaller, style-based performance ensembles will be formed based on participant interest and skill. The initial ensemble will be initially be comprised of teachers or skilled performers on key parts—traditional instruments such as strings, woodwind, brass, percussion, etc. and world instruments, working alongside students. The ensemble will initially be between 12 and 20 members, eventually growing to full symphonic instrumentation.
